Window Clings
What you need:
- Regular white school glue - one small bottle for each color
- Food coloring of your choice
- Clear film - transparency sheets work best, but cling wrap can work too
- Patterns or pictures to trace - school mascots, favorite animal, letters to spell out your name ~ anything!
- Tape
What you do:
Mix a few drops of food coloring to each glue bottle and mix well. This might take a little bit. Put your design under the transparency film or cling wrap. Tape it down so it won't slide all over the place. Trace over the design with a continuous bead of glue, then fill the tracing in with more glue. Let it dry for at least 12 hours. Peel your work of art off the film and place on any glass surface. They can be stored between sheets of plastic wrap in a cool place.

Beanbag Balls
What you need:
- 9 11-inch balloons (makes three balls)
- Funnel
- 2 1/4 cups of dried lentils or rice
- Scissors
What you do:
Stretch the first balloon by inflating it halfway, holding it closed for about 30 seconds, and letting the air out. Place the funnel in the balloon's neck and slowly pour in 3/4 cup of the lentils or rice, pushing them in as you go. The balloon should be firm but squeezable. Snip off the lip of the balloon, but leave the neck part. Take a second balloon and cut off the whole neck. Ease the second balloon over the first one gently, tucking in the neck of the first one as you go. Cut the neck off the third balloon and ease it over the other two, making sure to cover the opening of the second balloon. Repeat this process to make a set of three balls. The use your imagination to create new games, change up some old ones, or even learn to juggle ~ just make sure you aren't near anything breakable!

How to Get Rid of Hiccups
Hold your breath till your face turns blue;
Drink a large glass of water or two;
Stand on your head with your feet in the air;
Ask someone mean to give you a scare.
Drink something bitter or drink something sweet;
Bend way over till your hands touch your feet;
Jump up and down for an hour or so;
Sit very still and just wish them to go.
Spin around and around till you can't stand up;
Try to drink hot coffee from the wrong side of the cup;
Walk on the ceiling with magnetized shoes;
Listen to an hour of evening news.
Paint your face with spots and flowers;
Listen to bagpipe music for hours.
These are my ways to make hiccups quit -
But none of them (hiccup) work (hiccup) one little bit.

Room Cleaning Robot
I'm building a robot to clean up my room
using junk on my floor like this busted balloon.
I'll build it with tee-shirts and three smelly socks,
four wrappers, a rock, and a cereal box,
a handful of worms that were dried in the sun,
my brother's rare comic, a cinnamon bun,
a library book that's a year overdue,
a sneaker, a sandal, and Dad's missing shoe.
I'll keep on constructing with old underwear,
used tissues, dried spit balls, and fallen out hair,
a half eaten sandwich, that's half a year old,
a broken umbrella, I can't get to fold.
I'll top off my robot with crushed soda cans,
a jar full of flies, and a bucket of sand.
As I finish my robot, I have to confess,
that my room is now clean, but my robot's a mess.

Look through old pictures.
Ask your parents to look through old photos of family and friends. Find a super goofy one or a really interesting and ask them to tell you about what was going on when the picture was taken. You'll be surprised about what you can learn about your parents and family!!
Clean out old toys and clothes.
Take a few minutes to clean out a closet or drawer. Odds are that there is stuff in there that you can't wear or don't play with. Ask your parents to donate your unused items to a local charity. Not only will your room be cleaner, it will be easier to keep clean with less junk in it, plus you'll be helping out other kids!
Plan dinner and make it for the family.
OK, you might need quite a bit of help from an adult to pull this one off, but it will be fun! Ask your parents to have a night where you plan the whole dinner menu. Fix dinner for everyone ~ and don't forget to clean up afterwards! It might be a little bit of work for you, but you can make it fun if you want to! Come up with crazy recipes that will make everyone smile! Your family will appreciate it!
